Key Responsibilities Must have expertise in designing, coding, testing and implementing WordPress Applications. Contribute to technical POCs & solution demos Contribute in scoping, estimating and proposing of technical solutions. Technical Skills (Must Have) 4+ years Java development experience with good exposure to SDLC processes Extensive knowledge and at least 3 years of experience of building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & de- facto standard plugins. Experience of PHP 5, OOP, and knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions. Creation of custom post types. Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform to the WordPress coding standards. Theme/Template integration Knowledge of WordPress Network (Multisite) beneficial. Experience creating multi-lingual websites Advantageous Knowledge and experience of web accessibility Good understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues Use of / AJAX / Prototype / script.aculo.us an advantage Knowledge of customizing and extending popular plugins Third-party API integration.
