We are looking for a motivated Work, Health and Safety (WHS) Consultant (graduates welcome!) to join our team and collaborate with operational teams to help implement and monitor our work, health, and safety management system. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge, contribute to meaningful WHS projects, and develop skills in supporting policies, training, and practices that ensure workplace safety and compliance with ISO45001 certification.

This opportunity may suit someone who is studying WHS, or has some practical experience in WHS but is keen to develop their knowledge within a supportive team.

Permanent, full-time role (0.8 or 0.+ FTE considered)
Flexible working arrangements, including opportunities to work from home/remotely
Based at our Perth CBD office, with regular travel to sites from Yanchep to Dalyellup in the south-west region

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior WHS Consultant and working closely with our WHS team, you will be involved in the following:

Assisting with WHS initiatives, including high-risk task management and safety assessments
Participating in site WHS meetings with managers and Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs)
Supporting and developing HSRs to ensure active engagement and consultation
Contributing to incident investigations, with a focus on learning from system failures and identifying practical recommendations for improvement
Assisting with the preparation and follow-up of WHS Committee agendas, meetings, and action items

Your skills, knowledge, and potential:

We are seeking someone with a passion for safety, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll also demonstrate:

A relevant qualification, working towards a qualification or practical experience in Work, Health, and Safety
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with others
Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written
A genuine interest in WHS and the ability to recognise and address risks in the workplace
A current WA driver’s licence
