About the role

Take charge of planning, scheduling, and managing the workload for the Metro Field Support team, ensuring compliance with legislative and system requirements.

You’ll oversee the Metro Field Support workforce, driving operational efficiency and ensuring service excellence to internal and external customers.

What you can expect with this role

Resource & Performance Management – Support the Team Leader in developing and deploying resources, ensuring the team has the capability and capacity to meet business objectives and adhere to stakeholder deadlines. Monitor workforce performance to achieve key targets.

Training & Workforce Development – Assist in mentoring and training the Metro Field Support workforce, fostering skill development and operational excellence.

Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Water Efficiency teams, Customer Billing and Assurance Branch, AMI, and the Contact Centre, ensuring collaboration and streamlined processes.

Technical Expertise – Provide specialist guidance on metering systems, including Grange, Temetra, Maximo, ensuring effective utilisation.

Compliance & Program Oversight – Monitor the Metro Field Support program, ensuring compliance with legislative and internal requirements while driving efficiency.

Scheduling & Planning – Oversee the planning and scheduling of work for the Metro Field Support Workforce, ensuring seamless operations in line with agreed schedules.

Your skills and experience

We’re seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in customer service operations and field-based activities within a large, commercially focused organisation.

Industry Experience: Proven experience in a state-wide commercial organisation delivering and coordinating customer-focused services.

OR demonstrated expertise in work scheduling, field operations, and ensuring effective completion of tasks in a customer-driven environment.

Safety & Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of OS&H hazard recording and resolution (preferred but not essential).

Technical & Process Familiarity: Experience in Metering Services field operations (preferred but not essential).

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, customer-oriented environments, bringing expertise in scheduling, coordination, and operational excellence.
