About the Role
Sydney Local Health District is one of the fastest growing Local Health Districts in New South Wales. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
We’re looking for a Workers Compensation Officer to play a central role in managing and coordinating workers compensation claims.
You will be responsible for the lodgement and management of workers compensation claims for SLHD, including maintaining information systems required for efficient workers compensation claims management. You will work closely with the SLHD Workers Compensation Claims Manager and the Recovery@Work and Workers Compensation team to support injury management and improve workers compensation claims outcome. You will liaise with and responds to queries from workers, managers, Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) Claims Service Provider (EML), solicitors, investigators, doctors and treatment providers.

Ideal Candidate
Experience in the management of complex payroll operations, including the calculation of pays and the experience in using Solvlnjury, Stafflink, HealthRoster and IMS+ systems.
Knowledge and experience in the application of current NSW workers compensation legislative requirements for claims management and the calculation of claims payments.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with workers, injury management and workers compensation team members, managers, supervisors, claims managers, solicitors, investigators, doctors and treatment providers.
