Job Description
Young, modern fleet
Leadership role
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows the tools, understands commercial reality, and wants to help shape how a modern rental workshop should actually run.
The business is in a growth phase: new systems, fleet, more structure.
We’re looking for a Workshop Team Leader who can raise standards without disrupting the place.
This is a well-established equipment hire business investing heavily in its future.
A young, modern fleet (machines over 10 years aren’t re-certified)
New systems rolling out
Growing customer base
Strong financial backing with clear growth plans
You’ll lead a team of four technicians, remaining hands-on while bringing structure, consistency and accountability to the workshop.
Your focus will be split across:
Preventative maintenance and planned servicing
Breakdown diagnostics and repairs (EWPs experience highly regarded)
Smarter job allocation and workflow management
Improving visibility of costs, labour and parts
Supporting better commercial outcomes around chargeable repairs
Raising standards without unnecessary noise or ego
This is a working leader role.
You’ll still be on the tools, but you’ll also be setting the tone.
This role will suit someone who:
Is an experienced service technician ready to step up or already leading
Has strong mechanical fault-finding skills
Understands the commercial impact of workshop decisions
Is comfortable introducing structure, not bureaucracy
Can lead technicians without micromanaging them
What’s on offer
$50-$55 p/h or salary package
Company vehicle
Stable business with serious growth plans
Modern fleet and improving systems
A genuine opportunity to influence how the workshop operates
