Our Cross-Domain Computing Solutions Department is responsible for developing Body Computer Modules, Secure Central Gateways and Vehicle Security Products. With capabilities covering end-to-end the complete Development and New Product Introduction process we are managing and implementing global platform projects, tailored for our Original Equipment customers.

About the Role
As a Workshop Technician, you will play a key role in supporting product development engineers, ensuring the availability, construction, and commissioning of supporting test equipment. You’ll also maintain laboratory equipment, uphold safety and quality standards, and contribute to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Prototype Manufacturing & Testing
Mentor product development engineers on prototype manufacturing best practices.
Ensure tools and equipment are available and in optimal condition.
Construct and manage test systems, fixtures, load boxes, wiring harnesses, and test equipment.
Perform testing activities following Bosch procedures and international standards.
Support compilation of test reports and documentation.
Equipment & Process Management
Ensure supporting test equipment is properly maintained, configured, calibrated, and verified.
Proactively source and procure parts, coordinate contractors, and track project timing & costs.
Provide input to engineers on the best manufacturing methods to improve lead time and reduce costs.
Assist with lab procurement, HSE compliance, and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work autonomously, grow the business and establish effective relationships with customers. The successful candidate will have / demonstrate the following;
Technical qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics.
Experience in product testing within the automotive industry (preferred).
Proficiency in reading schematics and wiring diagrams (advantageous).
Understanding of international testing standards (advantageous).
Experience in operating test equipment (advantageous).
Bonus: Trade License & Forklift License are beneficial but not essential!
Technical Skills
Mechanical fabrication experience – machining, grinding, lathe operation, brazing, welding.
Electrical skills – soldering, crimping, wiring.
Programming experience (advantageous).
Proficiency in MS Office & MS Project.
Personal Traits
Passionate, self-driven, proactive, and accountable.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Experience working in cross-functional teams (desirable).
