Shape Healthcare Excellence - Workshop Technician/Senior Technician Biomedical Engineering
Be part of South Australia's premier healthcare system as a Workshop Technician or Senior Workshop Technician in Biomedical Engineering at Flinders Medical Centre. This full-time contract position until June 2027 offers you the opportunity to maintain life-saving medical equipment while advancing your technical career within our supportive team environment. Join SA Health and directly contribute to exceptional patient care through your expertise in sophisticated medical technology.
About the role:
This is a workshop-based, hands-on role involving the fabrication, modification, design, and repair of a wide range of bespoke mechanical components to support hospital clinical services and research programs.

You will work closely with biomedical engineers, clinicians, and researchers, translating practical requirements into mechanical solutions. This dynamic environment provides ongoing technical challenge, problem-solving opportunities, and exposure to diverse applications rarely seen in traditional workshop roles. This role suits candidates ranging from recent graduates to experienced tradespeople who enjoy precision work, problem-solving, and variety in their daily tasks.
