Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex wound care cases, providing comprehensive assessments, and developing effective care plans. This role is essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The Wound Care Physician will work closely with nursing staff, physical therapists, and other specialists to deliver high-quality care to patients with various wound types
This position requires driving down to the patient's house
This position is a part-time position, you can push in these visits after hours or weekends
we pay $500 "per visit" for the doctor.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of patients with acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, and surgical wounds.
Develop individualized care plans based on patient evaluations and clinical guidelines.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement treatment strategies that promote healing and prevent complications.
Provide education to patients and families regarding wound care management, prevention strategies, and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate medical records documenting patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing wound care services within the facility.
Stay current with advancements in wound care techniques and technologies through continuous education and training.
Skills
Proficiency in developing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Experience working in an Emergency Room or Level I Trauma Center is highly desirable.
Knowledge of urology principles as they relate to wound management is a plus.
Familiarity with respiratory therapy practices that may impact wound healing processes.
Strong skills in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions for patients post-treatment.
Understanding of family planning considerations related to patient education on wound care.
Competence in managing medical records effectively while adhering to privacy regulations.
Awareness of sleep medicine implications on wound healing for certain patient populations.
Experience in critical care settings that enhance the ability to manage complex cases effectively.
