Job Description
We’re looking for a dynamic content creator who will write news stories and edit video content for our scheduled newscasts and 24/7 streaming service. The ideal candidate knows how to write for news in broadcast style and knows the basics of desktop editing. You should also have a passion for local news, strong editorial judgement, and are looking for an opportunity to learn and grow while working alongside a talented, innovative and fun team of journalists.
What you’ll be doing:
Working independently or as part of a team, you will create fast-paced, compelling and informative news content for our 24/7 streaming channels and our scheduled newscasts that you write and edit.
Pitching during daily creative brainstorms and story meetings
Emailing, Tweeting, calling and interviewing people as you chase, research, and create enterprise or breaking news content, as well as content for our new prime time news specials.
Creating, independently or as part of a team, innovative video content optimized for streaming and digital platforms.
Ensuring that content is factually and grammatically correct.
