Location: Remote / Hybrid(Pune) Mode: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Information Management & Microsoft 365 Subject Matter Expert to lead the design, definition, and deployment of a new information management architecture within Microsoft 365 (M365). This position will also drive the strategy and initial implementation planning for M365 retention and disposal policies to align with business needs and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Review and refine the proposed M365 information architecture; lead implementation in partnership with IT. Develop and advise on the initial strategy for M365 retention and disposal, with phased implementation to follow. M365 Retention and Disposal Focus Areas: Advise on the creation and configuration of retention labels and policies, including event-based retention triggers (e.g., contract expiry, employee exit). Provide guidance on configuring retention settings to manage the content lifecycle and prevent over-retention. Recommend a pilot approach with a feedback mechanism to test and optimize retention and disposal configurations before enterprise-wide deployment. Ensure initial retention and disposal settings are compliant with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR) and internal policies. Provide expert advice on secure retention and disposal methods, including integration with Microsoft Information Protection. Offer guidance on managing personal data, subject access requests, and secure deletion of records, in line with GDPR requirements.
Required Experience and Skills: Proven, extensive experience with Microsoft 365, particularly in information governance and management. In-depth expertise with Microsoft Purview Records Management. Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools and services including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
