As our Community Development Officer, you’ll play a key role in bringing the local community together, creating opportunities for connection, wellbeing and growth within a warm and welcoming community centre.

What You’ll Be Doing
Building genuine relationships with community members to understand what matters most to them.
Developing inclusive, engaging programs and activities that bring people together and support wellbeing, learning and social connection.
Partnering with local groups, organisations and services to activate the Centre and broaden opportunities for the community.
Supporting individuals and families by providing information, guidance and referrals to additional services.
Coordinating volunteers who bring life, warmth and energy into the Centre.
Helping ensure the Centre remains a safe, vibrant and community‑led environment for all.
Preparing grants, supporting required reporting and contributing to continuous improvement.

Is This You?
We’re looking for someone who is:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Social Sciences or related fields are essential (or equivalent experience).
Passionate about community development and social inclusion.
Skilled at building trusting relationships with people from all backgrounds.
Confident in developing programs, partnerships and community‑based projects.
A strong communicator who listens deeply and empowers others.
Experienced in community engagement, volunteer coordination or similar roles.
Equipped with (or willing to obtain): DHS clearances, SA Driver’s Licence, First Aid & CPR.
