We’re looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented and self-motivated individual, excellent at communicating with other teams about the health of their parts of the IDE. You’ll be paired with a tool development team, and work with them to extend their automated testing to help ship a high quality Xcode. You’ll have the opportunity to build shared APIs for testing, and be challenged to come up with testing strategies that improve coverage of your component with minimal manual intervention. Additionally, you will: -Identify test scopes and prioritize testing with rapid development cycles -Create automated tests and improve test coverage geared towards ensuring quality of the product -Execute tests with attention to detail and communicate the overall quality with relevant teams -Drive teams to resolve issues, championing issues that you think will negatively impact developers Here you’ll find that we: -Have a peaceful work environment where you can choose when to socialize and when to close your office door and focus -Provide technical guidance, software architectural review, and mentorship -Have an encouraging and growth -Focused workplace culture
Minimum Qualifications
Strong object-oriented programming experience, preferably in Swift or Objective-C
Experience in iOS or macOS development using Xcode
Excellent troubleshooting skills and a passion for quality
Experience in writing automation tests at various levels, including unit, API, UI, and non-UI
Preferred Qualifications
Collaborative and curious contributor with a proactive communication style
Demonstrated ability to lead projects
Knowledge of complex system level debugging and root cause analysis
Experience working with CI systems
Comfortable with rapid development release cycles and tight schedules
Passion for perfecting beautiful user interfaces and seamless user experiences
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $85,700 and $156,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple Inc.’s discretionary employee stock programs.
