Year 11 & 12 English Tutor (SACE Specialist) – Experienced Teachers Only

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Year 11 & 12 English Tutor with a strong understanding of the SACE curriculum.
This role is best suited to a qualified English teacher (current or former) who is confident guiding students through Stage 1 & Stage 2 English, including Literary Studies, General English, and Essential English.
You will be working with academically motivated students aiming for strong SACE results and ATAR outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-level, structured tutoring aligned with SACE Stage 1 & 2 English
Guide students in:
Analytical essay writing
Text response & comparative analysis
Creative writing & folio development
Provide detailed, assessment-focused feedback aligned with SACE performance standards
Support preparation for internal assessments and external exams
Adapt teaching to individual student needs while maintaining academic rigour
Maintain concise progress notes and communicate with the academic team
Essential Requirements (Strict)
Qualified English teacher OR currently is in their final years of completing a teaching degree (Secondary English)
Strong knowledge of SACE English curriculum and performance standards
Demonstrated experience teaching senior secondary English (Year 10–12)
Excellent written English and ability to model high-quality academic writing
Ability to deliver in-person sessions in Norwood, SA
Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain
Highly Regarded
Experience with SACE marking or moderation
Experience teaching Literary Studies
Familiarity with high-ATAR student preparation
Background in Australian curriculum (SACE preferred)
