Overview
Your role collaborates on the regional strategy for behavior accountability management, such as resolving conflicts, disputes and election disputes; preventing and addressing club and district governance issues; preventing and addressing adult harassment; compliance with Rotary policy, and development of local resources (volunteers and materials).
Your role also supports Rotary’s commitment to providing safe, enriching experiences for youths who participate in secretariat, member, and participant-led activities, events, programs, and projects. This includes collaborating with staff, volunteers, and participants on Rotary’s commitment to youth safeguarding (proactively creating a culture of safety) and youth protection matters (reacting with transparency, compassion, and confidence when concerns arise).
You serve as a subject matter expert, and respond to allegations with transparency, compassion, and confidence when concerns arise. You regularly consult with your manager and the Youth Safeguarding Global Manager for oversight of youth safety education, issue prevention and protection.
Important to note: You will be required to interact with sensitive reports, including those involving allegations of inappropriate member conduct, including child ****** abuse.
You Will Have
• Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), with multicultural, international experience.
• Required: Certification or proven expertise in one or more areas of Conflict Resolution, Crisis Counseling, Mediation, Negotiation, Youth Protection, Social Work, and/or Change Management
• A minimum of five years’ experience required, preferably in volunteer management.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in youth safeguarding or youth counseling.
• Ability to manage confidential issues with discretion and professionalism
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve conflicts with diplomacy, tact, and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to effectively communicate and facilities learning and inspire others
• Excellence in verbal and written skills with a global, multicultural audience
• Proficiency in English and a second language preferred, especially Chinese, Japanese or Korea.

• Reading, analyzing, and responding to sensitive reports of misconduct allegations with confidence, transparency, and compassion.
• Communicating verbally, interpersonally, and in writing with colleagues, senior volunteers, and other external contacts to perform tasks and manage projects.

• Implement organizational risk management strategies for behavior accountability management and youth protection and safeguarding.
• Identify issue trends to maintain relevancy with the regional and global strategy for behavior accountability management.
