Job Description :
As a YouTube Video Editor , you will be responsible for editing videos from raw footage to final product, ensuring that each video is engaging, entertaining, and optimized for YouTube.
You will also be tasked with creating eye-catching, highly clickable thumbnails to boost video views and channel growth.
You will collaborate with our content creators, scriptwriters, and marketing team to ensure the content is visually appealing and aligned with our brand's tone and style.
Responsibilities :
• Edit long-form and short-form YouTube videos, incorporating sound effects, transitions, and animations to keep viewers engaged.
• Craft highly clickable and visually compelling thumbnails that stand out and attract viewers.
• Cut and splice raw footage, add music, sound effects, transitions, and other visual effects to produce professional-quality videos.
• Collaborate with the content creation team to understand the vision and style for each video.
• Optimize video content for YouTube’s algorithm, including SEO strategies like titles, descriptions, tags, and end screens.
• Implement audience engagement strategies through video enhancements (e.g., subtitles, interactive elements, on-screen prompts).
• Stay updated on YouTube trends, video SEO, and thumbnail best practices to ensure the content remains competitive.
• Ensure consistent visual branding across all videos and thumbnails.
• Revise videos and thumbnails based on feedback and ensure timely delivery to meet publishing schedules.
Thumbnail Creation Responsibilities :
• Design attention-grabbing, high-conversion thumbnails using relevant editing tools (Photoshop, Canva, etc.).
• Incorporate strong contrast, bold fonts, and eye-catching visuals to make thumbnails stand out.
• Understand how to visually represent the key message of the video through thumbnail design.
• Analyze competitor thumbnails and apply winning strategies to improve our click-through rate (CTR).
• Use A / B testing data and feedback to continually improve thumbnail effectiveness.
Requirements :
• Proven experience as a YouTube Video Editor with a portfolio showcasing your editing skills and thumbnail designs .
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong skills in graphic design and thumbnail creation using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
• Knowledge of YouTube’s algorithm, trends, audience retention techniques, and video SEO.
• Experience creating visually impactful thumbnails that drive engagement and CTR.
• Ability to tell compelling stories through video edits and visual design.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Skills :
• Experience with motion graphics and After Effects.
• Expertise in creating YouTube channel branding (banners, logos, etc.).
• Knowledge of social media platforms and how to optimize video content across multiple channels.
• Experience with A / B testing thumbnails and analyzing YouTube analytics for performance improvement.
