We're hiring a YouTube video editor.
Not a generalist editor.
Not someone who cuts talking head videos.
Someone who understands how to edit science.
Our channel produces long-form scientific explainer content. The kind of video where the edit doesn't just illustrate the script — it makes the science land harder.
Scripts and visual direction come from the founder. Your job is to take that material and make it feel inevitable — the right cut at the right moment, the right music under the right idea, transitions that serve the story not the showreel.
What this role actually is: Full edit — assembly, pacing, transitions, music selection, sound design, colour. Every video should feel like it was made by someone who genuinely understood what they were editing, not just someone who was handed footage.
On-site in Mumbai. No remote.
What makes you a fit
• You have edited long-form content before — documentary or explainer format ideally.
• You think about music the way a director thinks about it — not background, foreground.
• You know the difference between a cut that serves the audience and a cut that serves your portfolio.
• You use AI tools to work faster without letting them replace your judgment.
