About the Role
I’m looking for a part-time YouTube editor to help me turn GTA V gameplay (including RP and funny moments) into engaging long-form videos and short-form clips for YouTube and other platforms.
If you love GTA V, storytelling, and meme/comedy edits, this might be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
Long-Form Editing (Main Videos)
Edit 1 minute – 60+ minute YouTube videos from raw GTA V gameplay/stream VODs
Clean up footage (cuts, pacing, trimming dead moments)
Add relevant text captions, sound effects, and zooms/punch-ins to enhance funny or dramatic moments
Do basic color correction and audio balancing (voice vs. game vs. music)
Structure videos with intros, transitions, and strong endings (hooks, “next episode” feel)
Short-Form Editing (Clips / Shorts)
Create 15–60 second vertical clips for YouTube Shorts (and possibly TikTok/Reels)
Add subtitles optimized for mobile viewers
Emphasize comedic timing, punchlines, and reactions
Format correctly for vertical aspect ratio (9:16)
General
Follow a consistent style/branding once we establish it
Organize and manage video assets (project files, exports, etc.)
Communicate clearly about deadlines and revisions over chat/email
Requirements
Proven experience editing YouTube videos (gaming content a big plus)
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar professional editor)
Basic understanding of color correction, audio leveling, and transitions
Strong sense of pacing and comedic timing
Able to work independently with minimal hand-holding once the workflow is clear
Reliable internet and ability to handle large video files
Portfolio or links to previous work (YouTube/TikTok/Shorts/etc.) are required
Must be Fluent in English (Preferably Japanese as well)
Nice-to-Have (Not Required, But a Bonus)
Experience editing GTA V or other roleplay/sandbox games
Familiar with Twitch/YouTube streamers and highlight-style editing
Basic motion graphics (simple text animations, callouts, overlays)
Experience creating clickable thumbnails (if you can, mention it in your application)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
