Job Description:
Department/Group - Affordable Home Loan/ LAP
Traveling - As per job requirement
- Apply and suggest improvements in credit and underwriting policies & processes, infrastructure, development and deployment of underwriting models.
- Conduct portfolio study of the outstanding advances portfolio, Lead credit tightening initiatives to keep delinquencies under control while maintaing a balanced view of business profitability across various products in the given zone.
- Maintain and update credit risk strategy and policy by continuous analysis of business and collection trends, risk assessment & mitigation thereof.
- Reviews credit policies with business goals while being up-to date on competition policies & practices.
- Prepare Risk & Credit Decks on monthly basis for a specific zone.
- Develop strong internal and external relationships
- Responsible for ensuring sound understanding of credit policy across all relevant levels, in the team.
- Product knowledge at market level & market segmentation, is necessary.
Key Skills:
- 10 or more years in underwriting for Affordable HL/LAP, as a product, with last 5 years in supervisory roles
- Understanding/knowledge of governance practices, internal control systems & ability to monitor risk management activities/programs (and implementation).
- Extensive awareness of Credit and team management.
- Will Co-ordinate with:
- Business Team
- Auditors
- Outside clients - regularly
- Other departments (like Ops., BSG, Legal etc.) - regularly.
