• Brief Overview of Position:
This role is responsible for onboarding all commercial loans to the core banking system (ACBS). This role serves an important function at the bank. Translating the legal documents and critical deal terms into the Banks Accounting system of record requires a high level of detail, the ability to read, comprehend, and understand complex loan contracts and loan terms. This role requires focus and requires the ideal candidate to operate with precision. The booking department is the first step in the life cycle of the on-going servicing of all commercial loans. Accuracy and precision are key.
• Responsibilities:
• Receive and review commercial loan documentation (both attorney prepared and Laser Pro prepared)
• Identify key terms within the loan documentation
• Enter loan details into the ACBS system of record, to include borrower entities, guarantor entities, rate, repayment, accrual, collateral, etc.
• Understand and interpret the Banks credit approval document and any applicable credit write up
• Navigate the banks Commercial Loan Origination platform to access the required loan documents
• Onboard new clients to the Banks Client Onboarding application (Signature UI) Public
• Onboard new, renewed, and modification credit actions to the Banks core system (ACBS) to include Commercial, Corporate, Private Wealth, and Consumer lending actions
• Ability to translate key terms from commercial loan documentation (Credit Agreement, Note, etc) into the ACBS system of record
• Understand complex loan structures and complex loan documentation (to include large syndicated transactions)
• Properly transact offsets within the Loan General Ledger system to properly account for fees and loan offsets at booking
• Respond quickly to quality control deficiency citings to correct any errors made in the booking process
• Communicate status of loan booking to line of business partners and bank managers
• Manage a pipeline of pending loans and prioritize accordingly
• Identify errors or issues at the time of booking and escalate accordingly
