HAYS SCHOOL
1.0 FTE Temporary Teacher multi-graded classroom
Assignment includes - Kindergarten, Gr 1, Gr 2, Gr 3 multi-graded classroom
Hays is a small rural and community-minded, 4-day work week school. Our staff of 7 provide education to approximately 31 diverse and vibrant students from Early Learning - Grade +, in multigrade level classrooms.
This full-time temporary assignment includes teaching in multi-graded classroom where instruction is provided for students in Kindergarten, grade one, grade two, and grade three. The successful candidate will teach all core subjects for these grade levels and may teach some options for our older students as well.
We are looking for a passionate, student-focused educator who thrives in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate balances high expectations with compassion and understands that building relationships is at the core of effective teaching. Knowledge and understanding of Low German Mennonite culture would be an asset.
This position commences August 18, 2026, and concludes June 26, 2026, or upon return of incumbent, whichever occurs first.
