About the Role
GEMS Modern Academy, Kochi's first authorized Cambridge / IB PYP school has been thoughtfully constructed to provide a learning environment that’s filled with opportunities to discover, explore and have fun.
As the school continues to grow, we are looking for an outstanding, creative and passionate Music teacher to join our team.
Successful applicants will have the following:
• Bachelor's/Master's degree or certified teaching qualification or a graded certificate in music.
• Experience teaching Music in an International curriculum school, IB and Cambridge IGCSE experience is an advantage
• Proficiency in music theory and practicals of general music, singing as well as playing musical instruments.
• Experience of developing a school choir / band / orchestra
• The desire to provide outstanding teaching and learning opportunities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Aspiration to work in a world class school with real prospects for enhancing your career.
• A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
• Familiar with school systems and strong IT skills, particularly with regards to preparing for events
