Job Summary

Lawdale Elementary School District is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Elementary Visual Arts Teacher to join our team and engage students at our 6 elementary schools through the power of visual expression for the 2026-27 school year. The Visual Arts Teacher will provide instruction in the visual arts to elementary school students, encouraging creativity, imagination, and critical thinking while helping students build artistic skills and confidence.

Requirements / Qualifications

Applicants must hold a current and valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential to teach Visual Arts. Please see additional details below. Minimum Reguirements
• Valid California Single Subject teaching credential with Art & English Language Learner Authorization (i.e. CLAD, BCLAD, ELA 1, etc.)
• Master’s degree preferred
• Resume
• Letter of Introduction
• Copy of transcripts (With conferral of Bachelor's degree)
• 3 letters of recommendation (dated within the last 12 months, no supervisor required)
• CBEST Test Results or equivalent

Special Note: Applications submitted without the proper attachments may be screened out. Current LESD employees should submit a reassignment request form with all the required documents by the closing date/time.
