If you are an undergraduate HR student looking to jump start your career, we are offering a 13-month full time or part time internship based at our Scoresby office. This is a unique opportunity to gain skills and knowledge while you are working full time commencing 27th January 2026. The CBS HR Services Intern program provides exposure to the student in the areas of 1) Employee Benefits and Wellness 2) Global OnBoarding and 3) Project Management across a broad geographical environment which include relationships with stakeholders in South Pacific and Southeast Asia as well as the US.
In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:
Support the Employee Benefits service line including medical insurance, retirement/pension plans, wellness related policy and procedure administration, employee benefit reporting and regional wellness initiatives.
Benefits administration including annual physical examination, claims processing and re-enrolment for Southeast Asia
Support logistics for Global OnBoarding SEAPAC which includes the use of global systems and working closely with managers to organise employee attendance at onboarding sessions.
Support measurements, metrics and reporting tools (E.g. GoApp tool operational reporting for Global OnBoarding).
Provide support to CBS HR Services Project teams (projects as per 2026 initiative list), which include gaining experience in Quality and Functional Excellence projects.
Are currently studying a Bachelor degree in Human Resources or similar (International Business, Internal Communication, Project Management, HR Administration).
About You:
To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:
Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of January 2026
Are available for the full 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration.
Note: Applicants that do not meet these qualifying requirements unfortunately will not be considered.
To be successful in this role, you will possess skills/abilities or be able to perform:
Liaising with new employees and managers relating to coordinating global onboarding logistics.
Complete Benefit and Wellness related research including benefit market practices and reporting on research to stakeholders.
Support insurance and benefit contract renewal processes.
Maintenance of the benefits information portal and answers articles
Gain policy and process knowledge relating to benefits and wellness.
This is a 13-month, full time or part time, paid placement and the successful candidate will be required to defer their studies for the duration of the program. We now accept International Students who are currently in Australia on their student visas.
