As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 critical care dietitian to join our Acute Dietetic Service. This post will be based at the Western General Hospital. The main clinical duties of this post will be to the patients within critical care. The post holder will work closely with other specialist dietetic staff to support service provision across the WGH site.
The post holder will also be required to deliver a specialist dietetic service within the Critical Care Recovery Service including clinical work providing a service to ICU step-down patients and attending a weekly CCR MDT meeting.
The post holder will be expected to participate in student training (B & C placements) and provide support to other clinical specialties as required.
We are strongly committed to training and support for CPD and clinical governance, with a supervision framework, annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop clinical skills.
