Job Description
A manufacturing company for packaging supplies is seeking a General Helper to perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials into the production line.
• Loads material in production line
• Moves material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
• Sorts and places materials up to 20 pounds or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Counts items to ensure conformance to company standards
• Marks materials with identifying information
• Opens bales, crates, or other containers if needed
• Records the amount of materials or items received or distributed
• Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested

A large production facility - Very loud industrial work environment and must be comfortable wearing safety glasses, ear plugs, and other necessary safety equipment. Must be comfortable with bending, lifting, and twisting repetitively in order to move heavy material throughout the facility
