About the job
We have an incredibly fun opportunity for skilled 3D Fashion Designers to join our client’s team, a leading name in crafting the most recognisable custom character mascots across the country.
Our client is renowned for blending quirkiness with quality, delivering 100% Australian-made mascots that are not only durable and functional but also exceptionally comfortable for the people who are wearing them!
We’re actively talent pooling for our client and currently have a candidate working there who is really enjoying the work. This is a unique role, and as a result, the job ad has been adjusted a few times to better reflect the requirements.
About the Role
You will play a crucial role in the creative process by leveraging your expertise to digitise and automate production workflows.
Your responsibilities will include:
Utilise Clo3D to create technical drawings and patterns for building custom mascots using PU foam and fabrics.
Collaborate closely with the existing team team to ensure each mascot meets quality standards and aligns with the client’s vision by leveraging your expertise in pattern making.
Contribute ideas and expertise to improve existing production processes and digitise current mascot patterns.
Develop new patterns and technical drawings for creating mascots based on briefs from existing or new clients.
About You
Proven experience in 3D Fashion Design, with proficiency in using Clo3D software.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to convert concepts and sketches from paper to digital format, ensuring accuracy and precise measurements.
A strong understanding of pattern making techniques, including creating base patterns and making adjustments for various sizes and styles, is required.
An openness to taking on a new and exciting challenge, with an interest in mascots being a bonus—something we can discuss further if you are successfully shortlisted for this role.
This freelance gig offers long-term potential and flexibility, with remote work enabling you to manage other clients. An initial on-site induction is required to meet the team and familiarise yourself with the mascots. Additional on-site time is optional if needed.
If you’re passionate about bringing characters to life, we’d love to hear from you!
