Bachelor's degree in Education
Michigan teaching certification with endorsement in subject
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of state standards and curriculum requirements

The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and have experience working with young children
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging learning environment, developing lesson plans, and assessing student progress
Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards
Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and behavior
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning community
Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress
Provide additional support and resources to students who need extra help
Participate in school-wide events and activities, such as field trips and assemblies

Great Lakes Academy is a K - 8th grade public charter school located in Pontiac. The academy has been serving the community for more than 20 years.
