Qualifications
Graduation from high school and some experience in performing routine servicing of automotive equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience that produces the following:
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade
Knowledge of automotive servicing, heavy truck repair, landscape equipment and light mechanical repair work
Knowledge of the tools and equipment used in servicing of automotive equipment
Ability to read and write work-related job instructions in English
Ability to understand and follow moderately complex oral and written instructions
Ability to maintain equipment-servicing schedules, records and reports
Ability to learn basic automotive procedures and safety precautions
Ability to operate equipment that requires a high degree of manipulative skill
Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment appropriate to the nature of assignment
Possession of a valid California driver's license
Ability to obtain a valid Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator's License

JOB SUMMARY:
Under supervision, services and repairs automotive air-cooled vehicles and/or water-cooled equipment and machines; performs related work as required. Work involves regular contact with other departments and divisions.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
