We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Academic Coordinator for the Middle Wing to help drive our educational mission and support our faculty and students.
Job Summary:
The Academic Coordinator for the Middle Wing will oversee the academic programs and activities for students in the Middle Wing, ensuring that the curriculum is delivered effectively and meets the school's educational standards. This role involves coordinating between teachers, students, and parents, and implementing strategies to enhance the overall academic experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate academic programs and curriculum for the Middle Wing in alignment with school objectives and educational standards.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and execute instructional strategies that meet diverse learning needs and promote academic achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular evaluations and assessments, providing guidance and support to address academic challenges.
- Organize and lead professional development sessions for Middle Wing faculty to enhance teaching practices and stay updated with educational trends.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians regarding academic concerns, progress, and school policies.
- Coordinate and manage academic events, including parent-teacher conferences, academic fairs, and extracurricular activities related to the Middle Wing.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the Middle Wing team and other school departments.
- Analyze academic data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for student enrichment.
- Support the implementation of school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of school policies and practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject.
- Proven experience 5 years in academic leadership role, preferably in a middle school setting.
- Strong understanding of middle school education and curriculum development.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and data management systems.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in academic coordination or administration at the middle school level.
- Certification or additional training in educational leadership or administration.
