Background:
EdIndia Foundation (www.edindia.org) is a not-for-profit organization focussed on leveraging technology and

data analytics to create innovative solutions to impact education at scale. EdIndia believes that Technology

has a huge potential to impact government schools at scale. EdIndia Foundation is the strategic CSR arm of

Sterlite Power, and is member of Global Collective for SEL and Digital Learning set up by UNESCO.

EdIndia is reaching out to its clientele – teachers in particular and the school education system in general – through

its programmes Pragyan, Nirnay and Teachable.

Pragyan is intervening in Government Schools and Institutions impacting more than 2 lakh teachers from

Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tripura and Uttarakhand. The project aims to support teachers in enriching their

classroom teaching/learning practices by making available teaching ideas and content as well as by

discussing relevant issues through various e-platforms.

Nirnay is aimed at building a data driven culture in public eco-system. It analyses secondary data already

available within the education domain and makes it available to a range of stakeholders to enable clear

pedagogic and administrative implications. It is active in Tripura, Mumbai Municipality Arunachal Pradesh

and Chhattisgarh.

Teachable is a program aimed at pre-service teachers (those studying for Teachership). It is creating
content and addressing training requirements for Pre-Service Teachers for Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand.
The project is one of a kind aimed at creating a cadre of skilled Future Teachers for India.

Given the nature of engagements EdIndia has an in-house academic unit. As part of its aggressive scale-up

plans EdIndia is expanding its academic team and is seeking to recruit Academic Coordinator who will be

based at Jaipur and will work closely with the Academic team.

Key Responsibilities of the State Manager:

Ensure to fulfil all the academic requirements of different programmes and projects under EdIndia.
Develop content for teachers and students for various e-platforms.
Design, develop and execute workshops, webinars, and trainings for teachers.
Coordinate the content curation and modification tasks.
Independently manage end-to-end project updates and partner communication across the various levels in
the organization.

Periodically visiting the field to support the pre-service as well as in-service teachers with a view to
strengthening the academic quality of the program. Also coordinating and contributing to internal team’s

capacity building.

The Academic Coordinator will work closely with the Academic team to identify and cater to the content
requirements of the organization.

Reporting to the Country Lead - Academics, the Academic Coordinator will also work closely with the different
Program and Vertical Leads within the organization, Project Partners for M&E, Content and others to ensure

development of quality content, operationalization of a robust M&E system for the project, ensuring high-

quality measurement of project outputs and intermediate outcomes.

You could be a good match if you possess experience of:

Strong conceptual and pedagogical understanding of English (Hindi and any other subject will be
an advantage)

Rich experience of classroom teaching, teacher training and content development preferably in
Govt. school education system.

Passion for bringing change in the learning and professional experience of pre and in-service
teachers respectively, and by default in the learning experiences of students.

Experience of developing simple and effective pedagogical ideas and activities.
Penchant to develop innovative ways to improve delivery, optimize costs, improve strategy and
engagement, assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant

information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the

problem.

Aptitude for building collaborative relationships, working cooperatively and effectively with
others in a non-hierarchical setting to achieve goals, resolving problems and making decisions

that enhance Project Delivery, and managing complexity and driving for results.

Passion for achieving quality results, setting priorities, developing a work schedule, monitoring
progress toward goals, and tracking details/data/information/activities.

Skill to manage relations, carry out your relation within the working group and across the
partners with tact and diplomacy.

Qualifications & Experience:

Masters in English from a reputed university/college.
Successful track record in the field of academics and content development especially in the area
of English and any other subject.

Minimum 3 years of experience in at least one of the following: Academic Content development,
Pedagogy, Teacher Training.

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan

Remuneration & Benefits: Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay

scales and will depend upon the candidate’s experience levels.
