This is an in-office position. Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM
Responsibilities:
Develop and Manage a Portfolio: Build and grow your own book of business through proactive B2B cold calling and relationship management.
Identify Opportunities: Actively seek out and secure new business, negotiating contracts and driving revenue growth by offering tailored freight solutions to meet client needs.
Client Engagement: Understand client challenges and provide strategic, cost-effective freight solutions that align with their unique business goals.
Drive Growth: Use your knowledge and expertise to expand your client base and ensure sustained growth by delivering top-notch service and value.
Business Prospecting: Identify new business opportunities and expand your client base through effective outreach.
Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive pricing and secure favorable rates with freight carriers.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Operations Management and Logistics Coordinators to ensure the successful delivery of client solutions and services.
Key Attributes:
Education & Experience: Post-secondary education in a relevant field or comparable industry experience.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with familiarity in Outlook and Word and CRM’s.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
Client Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, providing consistent value and service.
Motivation & Attitude: Highly driven with a proactive, go-getter mindset and the ability to thrive in a competitive environment.
