Argo / Farm Family is seeking a dedicated Account Manager in the Excess Casualty line of business. This role is essential in supporting our underwriting team through efficient customer service, processing a variety of underwriting transactions, and conducting detailed data research and analysis. As an Account Manager, you will be pivotal in delivering exceptional service to our internal and external partners.
This position requires daily onsite work at our office located in Chicago, Los Angeles, or New York City.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and respond to account inquiries, complex endorsement requests, and billing modifications while adhering to established service standards.
• Follow internal guidelines to ensure accurate processing of all assigned transactions in compliance with service standards.
• Conduct thorough analysis of underwriting files, including the identification of necessary forms and endorsements for policies.
• Support underwriters in their core responsibilities, utilizing provided systems and guidelines to enhance division performance.
• Foster positive relationships with underwriters, customers, and business partners to uphold high service quality.
• Prepare rating setups, issue binders, and disseminate quotes on behalf of underwriters.
• Coordinate with brokers to secure underlying information, address subjectivities, and handle account inquiries.
• Review inspection reports carefully, engaging brokers on observations that could influence coverage.
• Analyze and process premium audits meticulously, including resolving disputes.
• Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Attend broker meetings when necessary.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework or degree is preferred.
• General knowledge of commercial insurance is highly desirable.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities and multiple tasks.
• Strong capability to work independently in a production-oriented setting.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with agents and brokers.
• Display a professional demeanor with exemplary customer service skills.
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel minimally as required.
The salary range provided below is specific to the geographic areas mentioned and will be based on the candidate's experience. Pay ranges may vary in different locations due to labor costs. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on both company and individual performance, along with a generous benefits package.
• Chicago Pay Range: $67,218 - $78,438
• New York City & Los Angeles Pay Range: $73,338 - $85,578
