Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Account Manager/Dispatcher with strong sales acumen and a solid book of business in logistics, transportation, 3PL, in-home, or parcel delivery. This role combines sales, client management, and dispatch support, making it ideal for a dynamic, versatile professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leverage Existing Book of Business
Utilize established client relationships to drive immediate revenue.
Maintain long-term relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
2. New Business Development
Actively identify and pursue new leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Create and execute business development strategies to grow the client base.
3. Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement sales plans to meet/exceed targets.
Present and promote company services to prospects.
Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company policies.
4. Market & Competitor Insight
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities.
Share insights to enhance sales strategy and service positioning.
5. Client Management & Retention
Collaborate with operations and customer service for smooth onboarding and ongoing support.
Build trust and become a key point of contact for your accounts.
6. Sales Reporting & Forecasting
Provide regular pipeline updates, forecasts, and performance reports to sales leadership.
7. Cross-Department Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction.
Share feedback for product and service improvements.
Qualifications
Proven sales experience with a strong book of business in logistics, transportation, or brokerage.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts.
Results-driven, self-starter with a passion for sales and growth.
Proficiency with CRM tools and digital sales platforms.
Knowledge of dispatching, tracking, and tracing is an asset.
Preferred
Background in logistics/3PL, transportation, or parcel delivery.
Ability to step into a dispatching role when required.
Existing industry network is a strong plus.
