Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Account Executive to manage accounting functions for our renewable energy projects at the site level.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Financial Management: Oversee and manage the financial operations for renewable energy projects at the site level, including tracking budgets, expenses, and cash flows.
• Prepare and review project-specific financial statements: Ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Maintain project accounting records: Ensure proper documentation of all transactions in line with project agreements and financial protocols.
Banking & Financial Transactions
• Coordinate with banks: For day-to-day financial operations, including handling project accounts, transfers, payments, and receipts.
• Ensure timely disbursement of project-related payments: Managing vendor accounts, contractor payments, and material cost settlements.
• Assist in managing project-related loans, guarantees, and financial instruments: With banking institutions.
Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure compliance: With local tax regulations, government policies, and industry-specific financial standards related to renewable energy projects.
• Prepare and file statutory reports: Returns, and other necessary documentation as required by government bodies and stakeholders.
Cost Control & Budget Management
• Monitor project costs: To ensure adherence to budgeted allocations and manage variances.
• Collaborate with project teams: To evaluate financial performance and suggest cost-saving measures to keep the project within budget.
Cash Flow & Fund Management
• Monitor cash flow: For the site project, ensuring that there are adequate funds for ongoing operations, project milestones, and payments.
• Assist in managing working capital: And maintaining optimal liquidity for site operations.
Financial Planning & Forecasting
• Assist in the development of financial forecasts: Providing inputs on potential financial risks and opportunities.
• Analyze financial performance: Against forecasts and budgets, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Qualifications
• Chartered Accountant (CA): With 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing.
• Experience in renewable energy projects: Solar, wind, etc. or similar industries is a plus.
