Accountant for a US based IT Company
We are looking to add an Accountant to our team. This is a very important accounting position with direct exposure to senior management.
Job Description
A small, very stable, and growing government contractor is looking to add an Accountant to our team. The company currently is looking at doubling in revenue over the next year.
Responsibilities
Taking ownership of the AP and AR functions for the company
Full Charge of all general ledger transactions.
Prepare monthly financial statements for a growing government contractor IT company
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for the company
Assist with Audit processes and income tax return processes.
Other Accounting projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Five to fifteen years of very strong accounting experience.
Experience in working in a multiple entity accounting environment.
Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
A pro-active person who takes ownership and pride in his/her work
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle large volumes of accounting transactions efficiently.
Work US East Coast hours
Ideal candidate:
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to details.
Very organized
Strong communication skills
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment
