Role Summary
The Accountant will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. This position will be responsible for preparing, examining and analyzing accounting records, financial statements and financial reports. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.
Autonomy & Decision-Making: Follows directions and refers all exceptions to supervisor.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
ACCOUNTANT FAMILY - CORE
Executes system data, including entry, batches, daily cash, notifying project teams of accounts receivable collection, billing, job cost transactions, employee reimbursement and fixed assets.
Prepares, examines and analyzes accounting records, financial statements and financial reports. Assesses accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Establishes tables of accounts and assigns entries to proper accounts.
Helps develop, implement, modify and document record-keeping and accounting systems.
Assists operations with interpreting financial key performance indicators.
Participates in periodic finance group meetings.
Manages difficult or emotional customer situations promptly and efficiently.
Meets client commitments; recognizes and acts upon service opportunities.
Solicits and applies feedback to improve quality and service.
Works with all internal departments to help resolve financial matters.

Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
Communication skills, verbal and written
Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on strong Excel skills
Proficiency with ERP and payment workflow system
Ability to follow up on inquiries in a timely manner
Ability to understand and implement best practice standards
Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources
Ability to quickly and effectively solve complex problems
Ability to deliver quality through attention to detail
Organizational skills
Listening skills
Ability to respond quickly and efficiently, within 24 hours
Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project
Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (Required)
In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
