Job Description
We are looking for someone highly experienced who can work alongside our full time accountant. Must be a fully chartered accountant.

Your role
You'll need to be pro-active, be able to maintain clear communication and have a customer-focussed mind to establish our client's wants and needs.
You'll provide an excellent and high-quality level of accounting services to a dedicated portfolio of our SME business clients.
With your experience you will manage all the bookkeeping activities for our clients (including day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT returns preparation, closing month on time, following daily bookkeeping routine etc.)
Duties Include:
• Maintaining the books.
• Suggesting spending cuts/improvements.
• Fulfilling any office/general administrative requirements.
• Reconciling monies received into the Client account of the administration company with the company database system.
• Bank reconciliations for the client and the current account on a daily basis.
• Maintaining and reconciling the purchase ledger.
• Entering the payroll journal and making sure the PAYE account is reconciled.
• Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts.
• Filing VAT return with HMRC.
• Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets.
• Credit control: preparing and sending monthly statements, chasing payments by phone and email, recording communications
• Dealing with all accounting emails and forwarding others to the relevant colleague.

Requirements

• Extensive, evidenced experience of gathering and analysing data, identifying themes and distilling information, writing briefings and making appropriate recommendations.
• Experience of giving, receiving and acting upon constructive feedback.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education is desired.
• Minimum 4-5 years proven experience
