Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Accountant to manage various financial tasks essential for the smooth operation of our small business. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day transactions, and providing valuable insights to support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense reports.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial health.
• Assist in budget planning and monitoring to ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.
• Process payroll and employee reimbursements accurately and promptly.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting principles in all financial transactions and reporting.
• Assist with tax preparation and filing, including gathering necessary documentation and liaising with external tax advisors as needed. GST filing knowledge is a must.
• Collaborate closely with other team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making by management.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience working in accounting or finance, preferably in a small company or startup environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software Tally and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is a plus.
