Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our client’s team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting the organization’s financial operations along with the Controller.
Key Responsibilities Of Accountant Role
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports as needed.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
• Support annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.
Qualifications For Accountant Role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a General Ledger Accountant or similar role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with MIP and Bill.com a plus).
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information
This is a part-time position, 20-32 hours per week, based at our client’s office in Walnut Creek, CA.
Compensation
The hourly pay rate for this role is $32-37/hour, depending on experience.
