Accountant II
Duration: 5 Months
Location: Los Angeles, CA (100% remote)
Shift Timing: + AM- 5 PM PST
Interview Process: 2 Rounds of interview (30 Mins)
Note
Entirely remote, but must be willing to work in PST .
PST is preferred as deadlines are places as PST and is easier to communicate
Duties
• Oversee assigned general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accrual processes and business insights
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements
• Execute compliance with internal controls to mitigate financial risks
• Support external audits by providing accurate and timely information
• Stay up to date with accounting standards and best practices, and provide guidance to the finance team
• Conduct regular review of accounting processes to identify areas for efficiencies
• Perform special projects, as needed, to support our rapid growth
Focus Areas: Journal entry preparation, accruals, account reconciliation & flux analysis for payroll, prepaids, and general & administrative expenses.
International: This position will be working on international entities. All entities follow US GAAP accounting for reporting purposes.
Skills
• Big 4 accounting firm (or similar) experience
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or high-growth company operating in a SOX environment
• Experience working on fixed assets, leases (ASC 842), general & administrative expenses
• Strong understanding & experience with VAT
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc)
• Strong organizational, critical thinking and communication skills
• Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
• Results-driven individual with a team-oriented mindset
• CPA/CA or CPA/CA path
• Accounting ERP experience (preferably Oracle)
