Job:
Under the general supervision of the Department Manager/Supervisor this position performs routine accounting functions, including posting journal entries, making adjustments, and closing entries.
Job Duties:
• Codes and deposits misc. checks for all assigned Trust Accounts, and inputs them into the General Ledger system
• Reconciles bank statements for assigned Trust Accounts.
• Monitors contribution deposits to assigned Trust Accounts including reconciliation, correspondence preparation, adjusting entries and transferring entries necessary to correct errors from reconciliations, employer remittance reports, etc.
• Verifies source documents and makes posting entries to Cash Receipts, Cash Disbursement and respective journals.
• Liaison between Insurance Brokers and the Trust.
• Prepares report regarding profits and losses, inventories, receipts and disbursements, balance sheets, and other reports relating to Trust Accounts.
• Cross trains into trust financials to be able to assist with providing back up.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications:
• 2 years of experience in a computerized accounting system. OR 2 years as an accounting clerk within WPAS with at least 1 year of cross training pf WPAS internal accounting systems.
• Working knowledge of basic office equipment
• Proven track record of positive interpersonal communications with internal and external clients
• Demonstrated ability to keep calm and positive within all communications.
• Proven ability to accurately and timely review and edit documents.
• Utilize computer and phone systems to be able to effectively perform the essential functions of the position.
• Previous experience utilizing Microsoft office software
• High school diploma or G.E.D
Preferred Qualifications:
• BA in Business
• 2 years of experience accounting experience within a TPA environment

Pay: $24.32 - $32.88 per hour
