Our organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to a thriving company with a positive and collaborative culture. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts payable, financial auditing, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the financial industry, be detail-oriented, and have a proven track record of improving financial processes.
Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Conduct regular financial audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement effective budgeting processes, including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate financial data and optimize business processes.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current financial trends and regulations.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filing and other regulatory reporting.
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications
• A minimum of a 4-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the finance industry.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Experience in financial auditing and budgeting.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and analytically.
