Focus:
• Take ownership of the accounting team, inspiring and restructuring as needed to optimize performance and accountability.
• Lead and manage ERP system implementations, ensuring a seamless transition and integration with current systems.
• Develop a deep understanding of cost accounting practices specific to the distribution and transportation industry.
• Spearhead initiatives to automate the accounting environment, focusing on reducing redundancy and increasing efficiency.
• Innovate and digitize the processing of expense claims and receipts to enhance operational workflows.
• Maintain hands-on involvement with daily financial operations, providing guidance and leadership to the accounting team.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts, ensuring they comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other senior leaders to align financial strategies with the company’s overall objectives.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
• Experience in Warehousing, Distribution, or Manufacturing Environment
• Proven experience in managing accounting teams and implementing ERP systems.
• Strong expertise in cost accounting and financial management.
• Demonstrated ability in automating and digitizing financial processes.
• Hands-on experience with financial software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Prior involvement with organizations generating revenues exceeding $10 million.
