Accountant
Aberdeen | Full-Time, Permanent | £30,000-£35,000 pa | 40 Hours per week
We are working with a specialist subsea company based in Aberdeen who are seeking an experienced finance professional to join them as their in-house Accountant. This role will see you supporting their Aberdeen HQ with day-to-day accounting and financial reporting.
Role Responsibilities
• Full cashflow management for the HQ.
• Oversee the credit control function.
• Complete quarterly VAT Returns.
• Ensure supplier invoices are correctly matched to raised PO’s.
• Ensure customer invoices are raised in a timely manner.
• Prepare weekly supplier payment runs for management approval.
• Set-up supplier and payroll payment runs to the bank online platform.
• Manage the creation and define credit terms of new customer and supplier accounts.
• Provide weekly cashflow statements, creditor and debtor balance reports.
• Provide a monthly P&L report.
• Working with external accountant, provide an overview of 6-monthly management accounts.
Person Specification
• Degree in Finance & Accountancy or Level 2/3 AAT
• Previous demonstrable experience in accounting role carrying out similar duties
• Able to carry out responsibilities with autonomy
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
• Use of Sage50 accounting software, a must.
Hybrid Working
• Will need to be able to commute and work from the office.
• Flexible working available, 1-2 days per week.
