Job Description
Main Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decisions.
Cost Control: Analyse and manage costs associated with fuel, maintenance, labor, and other expenses.
Asset Management: Oversee the financial aspects of vehicle maintenance, depreciation, and disposal.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Auditing: Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Financial Analysis: Provide insights and recommendations to management on financial performance and business opportunities.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and optimize cash flow, including invoicing, payments, and credit control.
Tax Planning: Minimize tax liabilities and ensure timely tax compliance.
Financial Planning: Support strategic business decisions with financial modelling and scenario planning.
Must Have
Bachelors of Business/Accountancy
At least 2 years of Australian experience as an Accountant
Skills Needed:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
Knowledge of transportation industry regulations and laws
Successful candidate would be paid a base salary between A$ 70,000 to 80,000 plus Superannuation.
