Job Description
The member of CA GCOA Team, the Global Functional Expert (GFE) will partner with: R2R GL GPO;
Feeder Systems/Sub Ledgers, Global Controllers’ Organization (GCO), Global Accounting Controller (GAC), Corporate Consolidation Team, Global Business Finance (GBF), Development Operations (Dev Ops) IT; and Oracle Application Labs (OAL) IT Teams to provide comprehensive general ledger systems and critical business process support.
CA GCOA Team is responsible for processing Chart of Accounts - Segment (Flex-field) Changes, Opening/Closing of Periods, Monthly Close Process including Opening/Closing of Periods in both Primary, Secondary/Statutory/Reporting Ledgers and Reporting
As a member, he/she will assist in accounting functions which may include:
Processing of Chart of Account - Segment (Flex-field) Changes in DRM, GSI and Oracle Cloud Applications (OCA);
Updating feeder systems and Code Combinations;
Journal Transfer and US GAAP to Local GAAP Account mapping rules; USD and CD Translations, Opening/Closure of periods in Primary and Statutory/Secondary/Reporting/M&A/Corporate Ledgers;
Monthly Journal Transfers;
Submit Reports to Auditors, Smart View Reports maintenance for management reporting;
Troubleshooting;
Participation in UATs and strategic Projects;
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors in commerce
6+ years of Finance / Accounting / Project Management / Tax experience
General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Intercompany, and Cash experience
Experience working with Oracle’s accounting modules and related applications with systems upgrade experience desirable.
Experience with General Ledger, Intercompany, and Cash desirable.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and build strong relationships across geographies
Detail oriented, yet able to identify issues and grasp concepts at a broader level
