We are looking for an entry level Accountant for a client in the Financial Services industry, located in Bellevue, Washington. In this role, you will be applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is fully remote. Candidates must live in Western Washington to be considered.Responsibilities:• Utilize knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and company accounting policies to define, prepare, review, and analyze various monthly schedules supporting the balance sheet and income statement.• Analyze financial information to maintain the accuracy of all financial information recorded and reported.• Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly journal entries.• Serve as a primary contact for inquiries, problems, and exceptions related to assigned tasks.• Maintain effective communication with other departments and team to assure complete and accurate financial information and appropriate documentation.• Use Microsoft Excel and other relevant software to perform account reconciliations and create pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.• Apply technical accounting knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP).• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Utilize effective communication skills, both written and oral.• Exhibit analytical and problem-solving skills for routine and increasingly complex tasks.• Perform assignments independently.
