The Opportunity
Electro Careers & Apprenticeships is seeking an experienced Accountant to provide high-level financial services and strategic insights that support the organisation's operational and compliance needs. The successful candidate will deliver professional advice and implement robust accounting systems while contributing to the development of financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement budgetary and accounting policies to enhance financial management.
Prepare financial statements for board, management, and statutory bodies.
Evaluate income and expenditure to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive financial efficiency.
Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, including financial and taxation reporting.
Support cash flow management, risk analysis, and capital investment appraisals.
Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard organisational assets.
Skills and Attributes
Proven ability to prepare and analyse complex financial reports.
Strong understanding of statutory compliance requirements and taxation frameworks.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of proficiency in financial systems and technology (MYOB).
Excellent communication skills for liaising with directors, manager, and host employers..
Strong time management and organisational abilities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2 year’s experience.
