Accountant

Crane Johnson Lumber is a leading supplier of lumber and building materials throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, and surrounding regions. Founded in 1883, our company has grown to include multiple locations.
We are seeking a professional and organized Accountant to join our Fargo-based accounting team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and experienced in accounting functions including financial reporting, reconciliation, payroll, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial statements
Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
Assist with audits and variance analysis
Process payroll and benefits
Maintain inventory records and reporting
Support AP/AR and HR tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 3 years experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and accounting software
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged desk/computer work
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
