Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant for Pharma Retail and Wholesale Business at Pransa Healthcare in Mumbai. The Accountant will be responsible for tasks related to financial statements, journal entries, and financial reporting and utilizing analytical skills in the finance domain.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management
- Maintain and manage financial records for retail and wholesale operations.
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Tally Software Management:
- Utilize Tally software for all accounting activities.
- Ensure accurate data entry in Tally for all financial transactions.
- Generate and analyze Tally reports to monitor financial health.
3. Inventory Management:
- Keep track of inventory levels and ensure proper accounting of stock.
- Coordinate with the inventory team to manage stock discrepancies and perform regular audits.
4. Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns timely and accurately.
- Liaise with auditors and assist in audits.
5. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers and collections from customers.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
6. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget vs. actual expenditure and provide variance analysis.
7. Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in cash flow management.
- Handle banking transactions and maintain relationships with banking partners.
8. Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making.

- Assist in administrative tasks related to finance and accounts.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure data security.
#### Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification in Tally software is preferred.
- Additional qualifications like CA Inter, M.Com, or relevant certifications will be an advantage.
• Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as an accountant in a retail or wholesale business, preferably in the pharma sector.
- Proficiency in Tally software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
